Muslims in the Acton/Shepherds Bush area have for over two decades have been without a place to increase their religious knowledge. We have seen a large increase in the Muslim population in the area, and this has placed a great deal of burden on the two Masjids in the area to breaking point.

Having been brought up in the community, a group of us came together and, from speaking about our collective experiences, we came to the conclusion with the grace of Allaah (swt) that we along with our peers are in dire need for a place of worship. More importantly, a place where we can get together and drink the fountain of knowledge.

There is a realisation in the ummah that there is an urgent need for Islamic centres and not just prayer halls. A place where the community as a whole can get together, not just Muslims but non-Muslims also. This is our humble effort, may Allaah (swt) assist and strength this and purify our intention, that it only be intended for Him alone.
