Counselling

The Imam of the Masjid is there to support, advice and counsel us as we carryout our daily activities.

He is there when we are unsure what the Islamic ruling on a particular thing is, or to assist us with something that might be worrying or burdening us and don’t know who else to turn to.

This is an extremely vital service, the companions of the Prophet would approach him and seek his advice on issues ranging from how they should sexually interact with their spouses, how they should eat, wash, sleep and so on. The Prophet encouraged them to do so, and by doing this our Islamic knowledge increases and we become more obedient to Allaah (swt). May Allaah make us of the obedient, Ameen.
